Hall Angell and Associates prevailed in an employment appeal before the Ninth Circuit Court of appeals in the Walker v. City of Pocatello case. At issue was whether certain City of Pocatello officials were entitled to qualified immunity. The Ninth Circuit found that the District Court erred in its analysis of qualified immunity and in its failure to dismiss certain due process claims. The Ninth Circuit dismissed Plaintiff’s due process claims and remanded the case for further proceedings.

Hall Angell and Associates prevailed in an employment appeal before the Ninth Circuit Court of appeals in the Williams v. Madison County case. At issue was the requirement for the employee to establish a contract for employment in order to prevail on a wrongful termination due process claim. The Ninth Circuit found that the District Court erred in its jury instructions, vacated the judgment previously entered in favor of Mr. Williams, and remanded the case for a new trial. Hall Angell & Associates will defend Madison County at the new trial.
