Hall Angell & Associates defended an irrigation district from claims of trespass, negligence, and destruction of property alleged by a landowner whose property was adjacent to the irrigation district’s canal. Hall Angell & Associates was successful in limiting the issues related to the size and scope of the easement and the appropriate activities on the easement. At trial, Hall Angell & Associates also obtained defense verdict concluding that the irrigation district was not responsible for any damages on the property. Hall Angell & Associates secured key evidentiary victories throughout the litigation. On appeal, the Idaho Supreme Court upheld the district court’s conclusions, confirming the irrigation district’s easement rights.
